High carbon ferromanganese is an alloy composed of manganese and iron. Ferromanganese is divided into three categories according to its carbon content: low carbon: carbon is no more than 0.7%; Medium carbon: carbon is no more than 0.7% to 2.0%; High carbon: no more than 2.0% to 8.0% carbon.

Use

High carbon ferromanganese in electric furnace is mainly used in steelmaking as deoxidizer, desulfurizer and alloy additive. In addition, with the progress of low carbon ferromanganese production process, high carbon ferromanganese can also be used in the production of low carbon ferromanganese.
